Call to Account

Call to Account is a protest film produced in the lead-up to Human Rights Week in 2015, devised by Suvendrini Perera and Researchers Against Pacific Black Sites (RAPBS). The work focuses on people from various walks of life reading out charge sheets – in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle – and calling the Australian Government to account for perpetrating human rights violations against asylum seekers and refugees. I edited the 17-minute version of the film and shot the segments in Fremantle. More information about the project can be found on Perera’s Deathscapes project site.
